Wind Farms and Landscape

Aim of the study was to examine the integration of the Wind Farm (in Rachi / Xirokompi of Andros) into the landscape. The integration concerns the whole project, as well as the projects required for the installation of wind turbines, most importantly the road construction. Different location options and scenarios with photorealistic representation of the solutions, as well as the effects remaining on the landscape were examined. The adoption of compensatory measures was also considered.
