AEGEA attends ManagEnergy Master Class

ManagEnergy is a European Commission initiative dedicated to regional and local energy agencies with the objectives of assisting them in becoming leaders in the energy transition and of increasing sustainable energy investments in regions and cities.

In the 3-day ManagEnergy Master Class that was held in Brussels between 7 – 9 May, 23 representatives of local and regional energy agencies from Austria, Latvia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Italy, Spain, Ireland participated. EPEGA was one of them and was represented by the Head of the Energy Department and Director of DAFNI Network, Kostas Komninos.

The Master Class was very delightful! We had the opportunity to attend to very interesting presentations, participate in group exercises and present the results of our debates. We also focused on the potential for bundling of energy buildings upgrading under entities like DAFNI in order to achieve economies of scale.  Finally, we also discussed future partnerships in the framework of the European calls that will be soon announced.

The 3 trainers, representatives with vast experience in the field of energy were Christiane Egger (OÖ Energiesparverband – AT), Paul Kenny (Tipperary Energy Agency – IE) and Seamus Hoyne (Limerick Institute of Technology – IE).
